Join our MVA Site Council

Hello, MVA Parents and Guardians,
We’d like to invite you to consider serving on our Manhattan Virtual Academy Site Council this school year.
Purpose of the Site Council
The Site Council advises our school on matters such as student learning, educational programs, school improvement planning, and accreditation. It also serves as an advocate for MVA in these areas. Specifically, the council works to:

Provide advice and counsel in developing, implementing, and evaluating school performance goals and objectives.

Provide ongoing support for the students and staff of the school.
Membership
The council consists of 6–12 members, including the principal, teachers, staff, parents, and representatives from the business and community. Parent voices are a vital part of ensuring the success of our students.
Responsibilities of Members

Participate in school improvement meetings and visits in an advisory capacity.

Gather input and ideas to help improve and support MVA initiatives.

Periodically share updates with the MVA community and, at least annually, with the Board of Education.

We will meet via Zoom from 6:00–7:00 p.m. on the following dates:
