Supporting College-Bound Student-Athletes 

At MVA, we are committed to providing our student-athletes with the academic foundation necessary to pursue collegiate athletics. Our curriculum includes a range of NCAA-approved core courses, ensuring that students meet the eligibility requirements set by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). 

What Does NCAA Approval Mean? 

NCAA approval signifies that our courses meet the academic standards required for student-athletes aiming to compete at NCAA Division I or II institutions. These courses are designed to prepare students for the rigors of college academics while accommodating their athletic commitments. 

MVA's NCAA-Approved Courses 

Our NCAA-approved offerings encompass core subjects such as: 

  • English Language Arts 
  • Mathematics 
  • Natural/Physical Sciences 
  • Social Sciences 
  • Foreign Languages

Registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center 

Students aspiring to participate in NCAA athletics must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. This process involves: 

  1. Visiting the NCAA Eligibility Center website. 
  2. Selecting the appropriate account type: Profile Page Account: 
  • Profile Page Account: For students considering Division III or undecided. 
  • Certification Account: Required for Division I or II prospects.

       3.  Complete the registration by providing academic and athletic information.

Maintaining NCAA Eligibility at MVA 

To ensure compliance with NCAA standards, student-athletes should: 

  • Engage consistently in their courses throughout the semester. 
  • Maintain regular communication with instructors. 
  • Adhere to assignment deadlines and participate in class activities.
